Peter Ketley is a Tommy Club founding patron, a 2 Para Falklands veteran and a Guinness World Record holder as one half of the oldest pair to row across the Atlantic. His new book, REMEMBERING recalls his life in the Parachute Regiment and the comrades he served alongside at the battle of Goose Green.
REMEMBERING also follows the diverse, extraordinary, and often harrowing military experiences of four generations of Peter’s family, dating back 165 years and including one of the earliest recipients of the Distinguished Conduct medal (DCM) from the Crimea, plus personal accounts from the WW1 trenches, Dunkirk, Singapore and Japan.
The book concludes with an account of Peter's record-breaking Atlantic Row, alongside fellow Parachute Regiment comrade, Neil Young. Known as ’The Grandads of The Atlantic’, they rowed from the Canary Islands to Antigua in 63 days, with a combined age of 123 years old.
